This wonderful cottage is situated on the bay in the picturesque seaside village of Borth y Gest, 1 mile from the town of Porthmadog. There are two very comfortable living rooms and a dining room. The modest décor and furnishings are appropriuate to the style and character of the property.

The location could not be better sitting 50 feet from the harbor wall - a small picturesque harbor with a slipway and boat moorings. The property has breathtaking views over the horseshoe bay of the harbor and then out over the Glaslyn and Dwyryd rivers estuary to Portmeirion, Harlech (castle can be seen on clear days) and the Snowdonia mountains. The view from all the front rooms is breathtaking.

It is an easy walk to the numerous small sandy bays, quiet coves, and coastal footpath to Black Rock Sands or Porthmadog.

Porthmadog has a variety of shops and good eating places, 2 historic narrow gauge railways with steam engines, a golf course, and museums. Must-dos in the area include Portmeirion village (4ml), Cricieth, beaches and Castle (5ml), Beddgelert mountain village at the foot of Snowdon (8ml), Llanberis, lake, museums and train rides including a scenic trip up Snowdon – the highest mountain in England and Wales. This is a great location for a North Wales holiday.

Visitor Comments:
"A lovely situation, warm and welcoming house, lovely garden filled with birds, surrounded by glorious woodland and exciting coves. Porthmadog, a stones throw away, has a great selection of shops and the local shop is very useful for 'forgotten items'."

Is to be born privileged.
Not with a silver spoon in your mouth,
But music in your blood
And poetry in your soul.”
